Co-created with Lisa ‘Lee’ Ott at the National Film and Television School as part of their respective Master’s degrees, Dragfox is a stop-motion animated LGBTQIA+ musical starring Ian McKellen.

The film has made an extraordinary impact on the international stage. Following its world premiere at Telluride, the short has since screened at 200 international festivals — including numerous BAFTA, BIFA and Oscar-qualifying events.

Among its accolades, Dragfox has won a Student BAFTA, Student Royal Television Society award, and was a nominee at the Student Oscars. As part of the British Council and BFI’s Five Films for Freedom initiative, the film has reached millions worldwide. It has earned widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike, and screened at some iconic venues including Piccadilly Circus, the American Museum of Natural History, and the TCL Chinese Theatre.
